One Bike For Any Spot

Gone the days where you had one bike to ride dirt and another for street. These days one bike is meant to handle everythinga rider feels like throwing at it. In Haro's world terrain no longer dictates bike set up just personal preference. Everything on offer has been designed and buily to be ridden on ramps, dirt, street or whatever you can find to shred!

Haro BMX Sizing for 2012

There's a pretty straightforward rule when it comes to sizing the BMX. The taller the rider the longer the top tube. Of course riding style plays an important role in helping you choose so remember that a longer top tube will give you gretaer comfort & stability whilst a shorter one is better for maneuoverability. As a general rule a kid in the 5'10" & over  range will fit better on a 21" TopTube. 5'6" to 5'9" might get more from a 20.5" Top Tube. 5@5" and below would either go for a 20" Top Tube or even an 18.5" Top Tube if they're sub 5' tall.

Riding style also influences top tube length. When a rider becomes more experienced and figures out what type of riding they're doing and what their general riding style is the above guidlines tend to be less relevant. For example, there are lots of taller riders opting for bikes with shorter top tubes. These riders tend to be more technically orientated, which basically means that their smaller bike is better suited to small quick moves and low speed balance. The flip side is that is that there are also smaller riders using longer bikes. For these guys big and fast is where it is. A longer bike will be much more stable during high speed riding or nailing big jumps, whether its a gnarly transfer at the park, a massive street gap or a 30 foot set at the trails. It takes a while to realise what type of rider you are so for the newcomers to Freestyle the size rule is best.

Haro BMX Top Tube Sizing

Haro BMX 18.5TT/Small

18.5TT/Small is available in the 200.1, 200.2 & 200.3 bikes. This frame size is likely to be riders first 20" BMX bike and is for riders4'3" to 4'8". Its a compact size and is Haro's smallest TT size on a 20" wheel

Haro BMX 20"TT/Small

The 20"/Small is available in 200.1, 200.2, 200.3 bikes

Haro BMX 20.3" TT/Medium

20.3" TT/Medium are avilable in the 100.1 and the 100.3 bikes. This size bike is really an inbetween size to accommodate the majority of riders just getting into Freestyle BMX. These will also suit riders from below 5' to 5'3" .

Haro BMX 20.5" TT/Medium

20.5" TT/Medium is available in 200.1, 200.2, 200.3, 300.1, 300.2, 300.3, 400.1, 400.2, 400.3, 500.1, 500.2, 500.3 bikes. This frame size is one of the most common sizes available amongst BMX bikes, simply because it sits in the middle of the frame size scale. Its the perfect size for a rider 5'3" to 5'9"

Haro BMX 20.75 TT/Medium

20.75 TT/Medium is only availble in the 000 brakeless BMX models. Its a kind of one size fits all for the brakeless rider.

Haro BMX 21" TT/Large

21" TT/Large is available in 300.1, 300.2, 300.3, 400.1, 400.2, 400.3, 500.1, 500.2 & 500.3 bikes. The 21" frame size is the largest Haro offer ina complete BMX. Haro offer it in 3 levels to fit all budgets unlike other manufacturers who reserve it for the high end models only. A 21" Top Tube helps with stability while going big & fast. A 21" TT is ideal for a rider 5'9" & above
